What is a bee product?
Bee products refer to all substances harvested or secreted by bees. They can be of purely animal origin or result from the transformation of plant resources by the swarm.
The hive is a true natural laboratory that produces substances with varied properties:
Wax: Produced by bees to build the structure of their habitat.
Honey: An iconic sweet substance, made from flower nectar or honeydew.
Royal jelly: A precious secretion from the glands of nurse bees.
Pollen: A true source of protein essential to colony development.
Propolis: A natural resin collected from plants, used as a protective shield for the hive.
Controlling health risk and quality
Due to their method of production and the sensitivity of the environment, bee products are subject to extremely strict regulations. Control challenges relate in particular to product quality, pesticide or antibiotic residues, and the fight against fraud.

- FD T90-520: sampling technique for the health monitoring of water intended for human consumption.
- FD T90-521: sampling technique for the health monitoring of swimming pool and bathing water.
- FD T90-522: sampling technique for the detection of Legionella in water.
Each sample benefits from real-time traceability, from collection or sampling through to analysis.
