Phytocontrol extends the validation of its gluten analyses

Phytocontrol extends the validation of its gluten analyses

Phytocontrol has developed and accredited gluten analysis using the ELISA method across a wide range of matrices. The families covered by COFRAC accreditation include:

– Cereal products, raw and processed
Examples: wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt and their hybrid strains, rice, sorghum, quinoa, lentils, chickpeas, flour and derivatives, tapioca, buckwheat, cereal flakes, breakfast cereals.

– Compound foods
Examples: pastry mixes, pizzas, sandwiches, cereal and vegetable purée, ravioli, guar gum, brewer’s yeast, sauce preparations

Drawing on its expertise in extended validations for specific matrices, Phytocontrol tailors gluten analysis to the nature of your matrix, ensuring an accurate and reliable result:

– The scope of application of the Competitive ELISA method covers the detection of hydrolysed gluten (e.g. beer)

– The scope of application of the Sandwich ELISA method covers the detection of non-hydrolysed gluten (e.g. cereal flours)

To account for the specific characteristics of your matrices, Phytocontrol offers validation of gluten analysis directly on your products, so they can be precisely included within its flexible accreditation scope.

This allows Phytocontrol to ensure that the specific characteristics of your finished product samples are properly taken into account and that its results are reliable, particularly with regard to your AOECS certifications.

With this in mind, Phytocontrol has been able to extend its pool of validated matrices to include compound breakfast cereals and elaborate sauce preparations.

Please contact your regional office for any technical, pricing or regulatory information.
