Phytocontrol laboratory supports you in the analysis of mycotoxins in foodstuffs, under COFRAC accreditation.

Our expertise in this field is the result of many years of research, investment and commitment to food safety. Phytocontrol guarantees compliance with all analytical performance criteria for all foodstuffs (infant food, milk and dairy products, fresh fruit and derived products, dried fruit, tree nuts, dried vegetables, cereals and derived products, oilseeds, animal feed, coffee, cocoa, wines and alcoholic beverages).

What is the issue with mycotoxins?

Mycotoxins are toxins produced by certain fungi, such as moulds, which can contaminate crops, animal feed and finished food products.

Their presence in the food chain can have devastating effects on human and animal health, ranging from gastrointestinal disorders to developmental problems and even cancer in the most severe cases.

The Phytocontrol solution

Phytocontrol has implemented several specific methods, adapting the complex extraction protocols required for single or multi-mycotoxin analysis using state-of-the-art ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UFLC/MS/MS).

We are thus able to search for and quantify all mycotoxins regulated under European legislation (EU 2023/915, EU 401/2006 and EU 2002/32), as well as certain secondary mycotoxins, and to inform you on the compliance of the batches submitted for analysis.

Find the 6 major mycotoxin groups on our page.

Our analytical laboratory is the trusted choice for all your mycotoxin-related concerns. With our unrivalled expertise, cutting-edge technology and commitment to food safety, we are proud to play an essential role in preserving the quality of food products.
