Responsible for the current pandemic, Covid-19 is a respiratory disease that can be fatal in patients weakened by age or chronic illness.
The main route of transmission is inhalation of infected droplets emitted by sick people. However, according to various sources, coronaviruses can survive from a few hours to a few days on different types of surfaces. This data has an impact on defining health issues and rules. Verifying surface cleaning protocols, identifying high-risk areas and ensuring a healthy, safe environment must be supported by testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on these surfaces.
