AFNOR V03/A committee

On 14 November, Phytocontrol hosted the plenary meeting of the AFNOR V03/A committee for food authenticity.

Its mission? To harmonise the control methods applied to food, thereby helping to strengthen mechanisms for verifying its authenticity.

The problem of food fraud is estimated at 40 billion euros every year. The plenary meeting is a crucial step in the fight against fraud, bringing together industry experts, regulatory bodies and key players in the food sector.

Phytocontrol, as an organisation committed to preserving the integrity of food products, actively supports the work of the AFNOR V03/A committee. This initiative reflects our commitment to implementing rigorous control standards to guarantee the authenticity of food products.

During this meeting, the committee reviewed several standards before their adoption at European level. These standards aim to strengthen authenticity control capabilities under accreditation, notably for honey and other foodstuffs.
