The company IAGE (Ingénierie et Analyse en Genome Editing), in partnership with Phytocontrol laboratory, developed the most precise SARS-CoV-2 detection method in April 2020.

Responsible for the current pandemic, Covid-19 is a respiratory disease that can be fatal in patients weakened by age or a chronic illness. The main route of transmission is the inhalation of infected droplets emitted by sick people. A direct correlation has been shown between the level of SARS-CoV-2 virus residues present in wastewater and the level of infection in the population, hence the value of implementing a broad water testing plan.
