Phytocontrol supports Pink October
This October, dedicated to breast cancer screening, Phytocontrol champions this cause to encourage open conversation and awareness. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in France and the leading cause of cancer death among women.
In figures, breast cancer represents:
- around 58,500 new cases every year
- nearly 12,100 deaths per year
- less than 1% of cases affect men
- 80% of cases occur after age 50
In support of this cause, it is an annual tradition for our staff to wear pink in October to raise public awareness of the early signs of breast cancer. This tradition is close to the hearts of many employees, as women make up a large part of our teams.
This month, on Monday 24 October 2022 from 1:15pm, the Phytocontrol Group is organising a special meeting with Professor Jean-Bernard DUBOIS, oncologist and President of the Ligue contre le Cancer Hérault, on the topic “Adopting the right prevention steps: from screening to care”.
