Phytocontrol, expert in radioactivity analysis in water
Committed to the health safety of water and the environment, the Phytocontrol group offers you its expertise in measuring radioactivity in fresh water.
The laboratory is accredited by COFRAC according to LAB GTA 35 for the following analyses: tritium activity, gross alpha activity, gross beta activity, residual gross beta activity, radon activity and potassium activity. The analytical methods developed at the laboratory meet the requirements of the regulatory texts.
Phytocontrol is also approved by the Ministry of Health to carry out sampling and field analyses and/or analyses of parameters for the health monitoring of water. Detailed scope of approval available on request.
A step ahead for our laboratory
Phytocontrol is the first French laboratory accredited by COFRAC according to the NF EN ISO 11704 standard, offering an innovative liquid scintillation method for gross alpha and beta activity analyses. This technique has several advantages, including the simultaneous measurement of gross alpha and beta activities, simplicity of sample preparation, and high-performance detection limits with high detection efficiencies.
Expertise recognised by government institutions
Since 2021, the Phytocontrol laboratory has extended its national approval from the Ministry of Health for optional radioactivity analyses with Radon 222.
This approval is a guarantee of trust for our Waters department, which offers you radioactivity analyses in natural mineral waters and water intended for human consumption.
