AURORA: quality, safety and traceability project
Phytocontrol and Zest HACCP attended the 4th AURORA roadshow, held in Bordeaux with the project’s stakeholders.
AURORA, an ambitious project funded by the European Union, aims to develop innovative technologies to improve crop management, optimise agricultural yields and ensure food safety. The AURORA project consortium includes five partners: Valorial as project coordinator, Agri Sud-Ouest Innovation, Food Valley, Unimos Alliance and OnTech Innovation.
Over 3 days, professionals from the food industry discussed the various health strategies that can be built through nutrition. This issue was placed in the context of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, one of the richest regions in France in terms of SIQO, starting with its renowned wines.
As an active member alongside partners Valorial and Agri Sud-Ouest Innovation, we were pleased to take part and share our insights with the scientific committee. Nicolas Mialon, R&D engineer at the Authenticity Division of the Phytocontrol Group gave a presentation on the theme “Traceability and fraud with SIQO: introduction to food risk 2024”. We were able to share our expertise on issues of authenticity and food fraud, as well as the solutions implemented by Phytocontrol.
Indeed, the Phytocontrol Group works to ensure the safety and authenticity of food products by continuously developing new analytical methods. Committed to the fight against food fraud, we organise the international Food Risk conference every two years, an event that brings together institutional, professional, association, entrepreneurial, academic, research and start-up stakeholders from the food industry to determine measures and strategies for tackling current and future challenges.
