FeL PARTENARIAT and Phytocontrol celebrate 10 years of trust

10 years of partnership in the service of fruit and vegetable safety between FeL PARTENARIAT and the Phytocontrol laboratory.

Faced with ever more demanding consumer expectations for fruit and vegetables, importers, wholesalers and shippers carry out daily analyses with independent laboratories to ensure compliance with European regulations for products placed on the market.

Ensuring a set of personalised services and advice during the sanitary control of marketed goods is indeed the priority of the FeL PARTENARIAT members.

The Phytocontrol laboratory carries out these tasks daily, with rigour and expertise:

• Expertise in “fruit and vegetables”, availability and responsiveness,
• Sampling and collection of samples,
• Analytical offer for plant protection product residues, additive contaminants and microbiology,
• Management of analysis results,
• International regulatory watch.

The Phytocontrol laboratory has been referenced by the FeL PARTENARIAT since 2010 and carries out sampling directly on the Rungis site. The samples are then sent to the laboratory, which carries out a multi-residue search using a state-of-the-art technical fleet. The results obtained are then compared to the MRLs (EU Maximum Residue Levels) to check the sample’s compliance with EU regulations, and are delivered within 3 days.

This year again, it is with commitment that the FeL PARTENARIAT places its trust in the Phytocontrol laboratory at the annual meeting in Rungis, on 20 February 2020.

The FeL PARTENARIAT originated from the grouping of 3 federations fully committed to the quality, hygiene and safety of fresh fruit and vegetables!

ANEEFEL brings together 100 fruit and vegetable marketing, dispatch and export companies. Present across all French production areas, the sector represents nearly 35% of marketing and 50% of exports.

CSIF unites 40 large-scale fruit and vegetable import companies and represents 70% of volumes from non-EU countries. It brings together 1,500 direct jobs. These companies are based in France, with operations throughout Europe.

UNCGFL federates 256 fruit and vegetable wholesale companies located throughout France. The sector distributes more than 40% of fresh fruit and vegetables in France.

These three links in the supply chain represent around 60% of volumes intended for consumers, and FeL PARTENARIAT companies market more than 2 million tonnes of fruit and vegetables, mainly on the French market but also internationally.
