Toxic cyanobacterial and microalgal blooms are on the rise. They suffocate ponds, lakes, reservoirs, rivers and abstraction sites, and produce toxins that are dangerous to humans and animals. MICROBIA ENVIRONNEMENT, a partner of Phytocontrol, has developed a method to anticipate the risk of cyanobacteria in water. The genetic biosensor is an innovative technology capable of predicting, within a few hours, the onset or decline of a bloom. In parallel, Phytocontrol’s microscopy method is a reference method for enumerating and identifying toxin-producing and non-toxin-producing cyanobacteria.
This webinar will be hosted by Sophie DUSSARGUES, Head of the Microbiology and Biotech department at Phytocontrol.
