Proliferation of toxic cyanobacteria and microalgae is on the rise. They suffocate ponds, lakes, reservoirs, rivers and water intake sites and produce toxins that are dangerous to humans and animals.
MICROBIA ENVIRONNEMENT, a partner of the PHYTOCONTROL laboratory, has developed a method to anticipate the risk of cyanobacteria in water. The genetic biosensor is an innovative technology capable of predicting the occurrence or decline of a bloom within a few hours.
At the same time, the microscopy method used by the PHYTOCONTROL laboratory is a reference method for the enumeration and identification of toxin-producing and non-toxin-producing cyanobacteria.
This webinar will be hosted by Sophie DUSSARGUES, Head of the Biotech Microbiology department at the PHYTOCONTROL laboratory
Joining us at the table:
- Caroline ARAIZ, R&D Project Manager at the PHYTOCONTROL laboratory
- Delphine GUILLEBAULT, CEO of MICROBIA ENVIRONNEMENT
