Phytocontrol passes its 2021 COFRAC audits and extends its scope of accreditation
Phytocontrol continually develops new analyses to meet its customers’ needs and expands its scopes of accreditation at every audit.
The auditors from the French Accreditation Committee placed their trust in the areas assessed, a sign of expertise and high quality for the Phytocontrol Group, which works in the fields of food and environmental safety.
The entirety of Phytocontrol’s COFRAC scopes has been renewed and new analytical methods have been accredited, such as ethylene oxide, TVB-N and TMA, starch, flavour and odour determination, etc.
This accreditation extension concerns the Agrifood and Waters departments for the laboratories located in Nîmes (Laboratoire Phytocontrol 1 and Laboratoire Phytocontrol 2) and Rennes (Phytocontrol Proxilab Bretagne).
The audits enabled Phytocontrol to add new analyses to its fixed and flexible scopes, further extending its already large number of accredited methods:
Agrifood: innovative and relevant methods
Pesticides:
Ethylene oxide in fatty products (butter, pastry cream, ice cream), solid and liquid plant extracts
Heavy metals:
Arsenic speciation by IC-ICP/MS in cereal products, fishery products, fruit and vegetables, sugary and sweetened products, dairy products, non-alcoholic beverages, spices and condiments, and aromatic and medicinal plants.
Mycotoxins:
Aflatoxins and ochratoxins in spices by LC-FLUO
Food physico-chemistry:
Total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N) and trimethylamine (TMA)
Starch
L-hydroxyproline and collagens
Microbiology:
Coagulase-positive staphylococci
Waters: water analysis by your expert
Water physico-chemistry
New accredited sampling under standard FD T90-523-3 for groundwater requiring environmental approval.
Chlorates, perchlorates and bromates by LC-MS/MS
Iron by automated spectrometry
Fluoride by automated spectrometry
Orthophosphate by automated spectrometry
Odour-flavour by sensory analysis
Dissolved organic carbon (DOC)
