Beyond the pharmacist advice and analytical methods used, we will explore the concept of biodegradability with Nathalie PAUTREMAT, founder of SCANAE.

Biodegradability defines the persistence of organic substances in the environment. It describes the breakdown of organic substances by micro-organisms in the environment, down to mineralisation. As such, biodegradability is a key criterion for regulatory obligations, from the ingredient to the formula, as well as for voluntary approaches (labelling, eco-formulation strategy, environmental impact assessment, etc.).
