Screening for veterinary drug residues
Phytocontrol laboratory has developed a screening method covering a wide range of veterinary drug residue families in food.
Veterinary medicines include curative and preventive substances used to combat animal diseases. In terms of food safety, residues of these veterinary medicines, particularly antibiotics, must be monitored across all products of animal origin.
The applicable regulation in Europe is Commission Regulation (EU) No 37/2010 of 22 December 2009 and its subsequent amendments, which establishes maximum residue levels for pharmacologically active substances.

If you want to know whether one or more veterinary drug residues are present or absent in your product, Phytocontrol can offer this screening for milk (including powdered milk), eggs, fish, meat and offal, with a turnaround time of just 5 to 7 days.
Our analytical method covers 14 families, representing more than 185 molecules, 95% of which are accredited by COFRAC.

Following this, it is possible to carry out quantification of the detected molecules using our accredited multi-residue screening.
