- 1. Contaminants tested for and their characteristics
- Plasticisers (phthalates and bisphenols) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds (PFAS)
- Mineral oils (MOSH/MOAH)
- PAHs, PCBs, dioxins, acrylamide, 3-MCPD, ethyl carbamate
- Heavy metals
- 2. Different contaminant extraction techniques (sample preparation)
- 3. Different qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques for targeted research (chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy)
- 4. From analysis to results in reports (calculation methods, expression of results, quality control, use of uncertainties…)
- 5. Method validation (the various criteria used to characterise a method’s performance)
- 6. Regulations (current texts: containers or contents?)
- 7. Interpretation of analysis results and action plans
