The Phytocontrol Group is a technological and human project working towards water and food safety. The Laboratory meets the needs of professionals in the food, water, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, who are increasingly exposed to and confronted with health and environmental risks.

Analytical equipment at the cutting edge of technology
At Phytocontrol, innovation is a strategic priority: nearly 20% of our revenue is invested in research and development every year. This commitment is backed by a dedicated team, an analytical equipment base fitted with the latest technologies, and leading strategic and technological monitoring.
Since 2021, our R&D has had its own building: a modern 900 m² space designed to foster innovation, bringing together state-of-the-art laboratories, offices, meeting rooms and a relaxation area. Engineers, chemists, biochemists and agronomists work there every day to address the growing health challenges of the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors.
This research dynamic — fuelled by the accumulation of knowledge, the continuous development of our skills and the deployment of our creativity — enables our laboratory to stay ahead in terms of know-how and innovation. It also opens the door to privileged partnerships with our suppliers, with whom we co-develop tomorrow’s technologies.
A methodological rigour serving reliability
The work of our R&D teams is based on strict validation criteria that guarantee the quality of our results: Accuracy, Precision and Robustness.
Accuracy refers to a method’s ability to deliver a result close to the expected true value. Precision refers to a method’s ability to provide similar results when a test is repeated, whether under the same conditions (same laboratory, same operator) or under different conditions (other laboratories, other operators). Lastly, robustness reflects a method’s ability to remain reliable even when analytical conditions vary slightly.
It is by relying on these requirements that the Phytocontrol Laboratory develops and validates its analytical methods.
