{"id":8875,"date":"2019-05-15T09:44:07","date_gmt":"2019-05-15T07:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=8875"},"modified":"2026-09-19T22:21:59","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T20:21:59","slug":"phytocontrol-analyses-the-matrine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/news\/phytocontrol-analyses-the-matrine\/","title":{"rendered":"Phytocontrol analyses matrine!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Phytocontrol is pleased to announce the expansion of its pesticide analysis offering with the development of matrine and oxymatrine.<\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matrine is an alkaloid naturally present in certain plants that has been detected in fruit and vegetables grown in various countries.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the last Standing Committee meeting on 21 and 22 March 2019, the German authorities indicated that the presence of matrine in food could present a potential risk.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The European Commission shared an <a href=\"\/app\/uploads\/2019\/06\/2019_NL_18_DE_Information_Residues_of_matrine-1.pdf\">information note<\/a> on this substance, prepared and presented by the German authorities at this meeting. Monitoring of the presence of matrine in food products should be implemented by Member States.
