{"id":7779,"date":"2019-01-02T16:07:09","date_gmt":"2019-01-02T15:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=7779"},"modified":"2026-08-28T01:48:41","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T23:48:41","slug":"amendment-eu-pharmacopoeia-9-6-chapter-2-8-13-pesticide-residues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/amendment-eu-pharmacopoeia-9-6-chapter-2-8-13-pesticide-residues\/","title":{"rendered":"Amendment to EU Pharmacopoeia 9.6: chapter 2.8.13 Pesticide residues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the EU Pharmacopoeia, herbal drugs are defined as <em>&#8220;mainly whole, fragmented or cut plants, parts of plants, algae, fungi, lichen, in an unprocessed, usually dried form, but sometimes fresh&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The general monograph on herbal drugs specifies that they must comply with the pesticide residue requirements of chapter 2.8.13 of the EU Pharmacopoeia.<\/p>\n<p>Table 2.8.13-1 of the Pesticide residues chapter provides a list of pesticides for which a specific pharmacopoeial tolerance has been set.
