{"id":6602,"date":"2018-05-24T11:43:29","date_gmt":"2018-05-24T09:43:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=6602"},"modified":"2026-08-28T02:11:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T00:11:17","slug":"publications-regulations-eu-2018-685-2018-686-and-2018-687","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/publications-regulations-eu-2018-685-2018-686-and-2018-687\/","title":{"rendered":"Publication of Regulations (EU) 2018\/685, 2018\/686 and 2018\/687"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[hover_box image=&#8221;\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/actu_usages-phytopharmaceutiques-nationaux_01.png&#8221; image_hover=&#8221;\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/actu_publication-rasff-2016_02.jpg&#8221; link=&#8221;&#8221; target=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Three new European regulations have just been published in the Official Journal of the European Union:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Regulation (EU) 2018\/685<\/strong> of 3 May 2018 amending Annexes II, III and IV to Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 as regards maximum residue levels for abamectin, beer, fluopyram, fluxapyroxad, maleic hydrazide, mustard seed meal and tefluthrin in or on certain products.<br \/>\nThis new regulation introduces the following changes:<br \/>\n<strong>Abamectin:<\/strong> The MRL on Banana increases from 0.01 to 0.02mg\/kg.<br \/>\n<strong>Fluopyram:<\/strong> The MRL on Purslane increases from 0.2 to 20mg\/kg.<br \/>\n<strong>Fluxapyroxad:<\/strong> Several MRLs revised upwards, particularly on grapefruit, certain root and tuberous vegetables, onions, certain Brassica, certain lettuces, herbs, certain stem vegetables, herbal infusions and spices.<br \/>\n<strong>Maleic Hydrazide:<\/strong> The MRL on potatoes increases from 50 to 60mg\/kg, on garlic from 15 to 40mg\/kg, on shallots from 15 to 30mg\/kg and on milk from 0.05 to 0.07mg\/kg.<br \/>\n<strong>Tefluthrin:<\/strong> The MRL on carrots increases from 0.05 to 0.08mg\/kg.<\/p>\n<p>This text was published on 16\/05\/18 and will enter into force on the 20th day following its publication.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Regulation (EU) 2018\/686<\/strong> of 4 May 2018 amending Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 as regards maximum residue levels for chlorpyrifos, chlorpyrifos-methyl and triclopyr in or on certain products.<br \/>\nThe following changes have been introduced:<br \/>\n<strong>Chlorpyrifos:<\/strong> Many MRLs have been revised upwards, particularly on citrus fruit, peaches, plums, strawberries, bananas, tomatoes, barley, oats, rice, rye, sorghum, wheat and tea.<br \/>\nOther MRLs have been revised downwards, as is the case for cherries, wine grapes, radishes, aubergines, coffee beans and herbal infusions.<br \/>\n<strong>Chlorpyrifos-methyl:<\/strong> Many MRLs have been revised upwards, particularly on citrus fruit, pome fruit, stone fruit, grapes, tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, barley and oats.<br \/>\nOther MRLs have been revised downwards, as is the case for strawberries, buckwheat, maize, millet, rye, sorghum, wheat and herbal infusions.
