Glyphosate is a plant protection product absorbed by leaves, classified as a herbicide. It is a non-selective, systemic herbicide, described as “total”, and the most widely used herbicide in the world for agricultural, urban and industrial weed control. It breaks down mainly in soil. It is also found in water, rivers and groundwater.<\/p>\n

Depending on conditions, glyphosate can be present in three forms (acid, monovalent, divalent):<\/p>\n

\"Did<\/p>\n

The MRL (Maximum Residue Level) for glyphosate covers all three forms and varies depending on the matrix considered. To date, only one cation of its salts is regulated: sulfosate.<\/p>\n

As it degrades, glyphosate produces a well-known metabolite: aminomethylphosphonic acid (or AMPA).<\/p>\n

Phytocontrol meets regulatory requirements by carrying out analysis of:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– glyphosate (and its degradation product AMPA) under COFRAC accreditation,<\/strong><\/p>\n
