{"id":544699,"date":"2026-08-27T02:27:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T00:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-sampling-technician\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T02:27:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T00:27:08","slug":"a-day-in-the-life-of-a-sampling-technician","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/news\/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-sampling-technician\/","title":{"rendered":"A day in the life of a sampling technician"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Phytocontrol offers you the best logistics solution across the whole territory!<\/b><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A young, dynamic and committed team of sampling technicians travels hundreds of kilometres every day to <strong>collect<\/strong> your samples and <strong>transport<\/strong> them safely to our analytical laboratories.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This internal network ensures proximity, responsiveness and expertise, backed by rigorous monitoring from our logistics team.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In the shoes of a sampling technician<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As soon as they join Phytocontrol, sampling technicians are taken in hand by the training department for a week of learning on all sampling techniques and standards.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This technical training enables sampling technicians to be qualified to carry out physico-chemical and microbiological sampling on-site according to the following standards:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list_chevron_right_orange\">\n<li>FD T 90 520: sampling technique for the health monitoring of water intended for human consumption<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FD T 90 521: sampling technique for the health monitoring of swimming pool and bathing water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FD T 90 522: sampling technique for Legionella testing in water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FD T 90 523-1: monitoring of water quality in the environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These samplings are also covered by the approval obtained by Phytocontrol from the Ministry of Health. Standard NF EN ISO 19458 defines the maximum time allowed between sampling and analysis, a constraint for which our teams provide maximum reliability in terms of proximity and responsiveness.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maintaining competence is essential at Phytocontrol. Sampling technicians must therefore carry out the sampling technique at least once every six months, and are supervised once a year by the <strong>Phytocontrol Waters Sampling Referent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In direct contact with customers, our sampling technicians provide expertise and advice on a range of issues such as sampling techniques and storage conditions.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The equipped Jumpy: a key element for samplers<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Phytocontrol, all sampling technicians collect samples driving their Jumpy. This utility vehicle is fitted with a refrigeration unit <strong>compliant with the NF X15-140 standard<\/strong> to ensure complete control of the cold chain.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle storage is divided into 3 separate compartments, the temperature of which can be adjusted directly from the driver&#8217;s cab:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"list_chevron_right_orange wp-block-list\"> <li>Freezer section: frozen samples<\/li> <li>Refrigerator section: samples for water analysis<\/li> <li>Ambient section: consumables, sampling equipment and bottles<\/li> <p>Cela permet aux techniciens pr\u00e9leveurs de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 toutes vos demandes !<\/p> <\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sample security<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To guarantee complete control of the cold chain and traceability, we have equipped all our sampling technicians with the <strong>best temperature trackers<\/strong>. These were developed by a local start-up according to the laboratory&#8217;s specific needs. They continuously record the sample&#8217;s temperature in real time.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The monitoring curves are included in your test reports, providing proof that the cold chain was maintained during transport.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
