{"id":544640,"date":"2026-08-27T02:25:54","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T00:25:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/update-of-the-national-catalogue-of-plant-protection-product-uses-2\/"},"modified":"2026-09-20T11:47:50","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T09:47:50","slug":"update-of-the-national-catalogue-of-plant-protection-product-uses-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/update-of-the-national-catalogue-of-plant-protection-product-uses-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Update of the national catalogue of plant protection product uses"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>new French catalogue of plant protection product uses<\/strong> was published under service note DGAL\/SDQSPV\/2021-278 of 12 April 2021.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This catalogue lists the uses to be indicated in any application for marketing authorisation (MA) or parallel trade permit (PTP) for plant protection products and adjuvants.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <strong>use<\/strong> is defined as the combination of:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a plant, plant product or family of plants,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a pest, group of pests, disease or group of diseases the product is intended to control,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or a function or method of application of these products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000043401456#:~:text=Copier%20le%20texte-,Arr%C3%AAt%C3%A9%20du%2012%20avril%202021%20relatif%20%C3%A0%20la%20mise%20en,produits%20phytopharmaceutiques%20et%20des%20adjuvants\">The order of 12 April 2021<\/a>, which implements this national catalogue of plant protection product uses, lists in its appendix the reference crops and their scope of use.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a given crop, the <strong>scope of uses<\/strong> corresponds by default to all covered crops, i.e. the linked crops (crops for which the MRL must be set) and related crops (crops subject to the same MRL as that defined for the linked crop, as listed in Part B of Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, an active substance authorised on the reference crop \u201clettuce\u201d means that the active substance is authorised on the following linked crops: \u201cLettuce, chicory, escarole, curly endive, corn salad, rocket and other salad greens\u201d.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some crops appear under several \u201creference crops\u201d; for example, salsify falls within the scope of use of both \u201ccarrots\u201d and \u201csalsify\u201d.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Young shoots are not subject to specific uses in the catalogue. A young shoot, when grown on its own, is linked to the <strong>mature crop<\/strong>. For example, young spinach shoots are linked to the spinach crop, and salad shoots to the lettuce crop, etc. Uses must comply with the conditions required for the use: GAP, PHI, as well as the MRL specific to young shoots, described in the \u201cLettuces and other salad greens\u201d MRL group.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To check the authorisation of an active substance for a given use in France, ANSES provides the <a href=\"https:\/\/ephy.anses.fr\/recherche_avancee\/ppp\">E-phy<\/a> database, which contains the information recorded in MA and PTP decisions.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On request, your Phytocontrol laboratory can indicate the authorisations of the active substances detected according to their use on test reports.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
