{"id":544624,"date":"2026-08-27T02:25:34","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T00:25:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/5-new-regulatory-texts-for-swimming-pool-water\/"},"modified":"2026-09-19T22:30:54","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T20:30:54","slug":"5-new-regulatory-texts-for-swimming-pool-water","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/5-new-regulatory-texts-for-swimming-pool-water\/","title":{"rendered":"5 new regulatory texts for swimming pool water!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several regulatory texts concerning the sanitary safety of swimming pool water were published in the Official Journal of the French Republic on 27 May 2021:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/loda\/id\/JORFTEXT000043535228\/\">Decree No. 2021-656 on the sanitary safety of swimming pool water<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000043535364\">Order of 26 May 2021 on the sanitary control and monitoring of swimming pool water<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/texte_jo\/JORFTEXT000043535394\">Order of 26 May 2021 on the quality limits and reference values for swimming pool water<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000043535330\">Order of 26 May 2021 amending the amended order of 7 April 1981 on technical requirements applicable to swimming pools<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000043535409\">Order of 26 May 2021 on the use of water not from a drinking water distribution network to supply a swimming pool basin<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/loda\/id\/JORFTEXT000043535228\/\">Decree No. 2021-656<\/a> amends the provisions on the sanitary safety of swimming pools by introducing monitoring and analysis procedures and management measures for non-compliance with quality limits and reference values. The text also requires the person responsible for the pool to keep a sanitary logbook.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000043535364\">Order of 26 May 2021 on the sanitary control and monitoring of swimming pool water<\/a> details the water sampling and analysis programme to be implemented by the ARS (Regional Health Agencies) and the programme to be implemented by the persons responsible for swimming pools. It also describes the elements that the sanitary logbook must contain.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/texte_jo\/JORFTEXT000043535394\">Order of 26 May 2021 on the quality limits and reference values for swimming pool water<\/a> sets criteria for organoleptic, microbiological and physico-chemical parameters.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000043535330\">Order of 26 May 2021 amending the amended order of 7 April 1981<\/a> sets out the technical requirements applicable to swimming pools and the number of sanitary facilities required based on the facility&#8217;s capacity.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000043535409\">Order of 26 May 2021 on the use of water not from a drinking water distribution network to supply a swimming pool basin<\/a> sets out the content of the authorisation request file and the quality limits applicable when the person responsible for a swimming pool uses water that does not come from a water distribution network.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These five texts came into force on 1 January 2022.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that Phytocontrol holds national approval from the Ministry of Health for carrying out sampling and analysis for water sanitary control.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can consult the <a href=\"\/app\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Agrement-sante-PHYTOCONTROL-WATER-2021.pdf\">details of our approved analyses<\/a>; our laboratory meets the requirements set out in this new order for the areas included in our scope.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also consult our accreditation scope No. 1-6066 on the COFRAC website or directly in your customer area.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-50f1fa40-c040-4a7e-971d-696b8f6cb490\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
