{"id":544520,"date":"2026-08-27T02:03:55","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T00:03:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/decree-on-the-uses-and-reuse-of-treated-wastewater\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T02:03:55","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T00:03:55","slug":"decree-on-the-uses-and-reuse-of-treated-wastewater","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/decree-on-the-uses-and-reuse-of-treated-wastewater\/","title":{"rendered":"Decree on the uses and reuse of treated wastewater"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 10 March, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000045331735\">Decree No. 2022-336<\/a> on the uses and conditions for the reuse of treated wastewater was published in the JORF.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This text applies to project owners and operators of collective sanitation systems for the collection, transport and treatment of wastewater, non-collective sanitation and distribution facilities, storage or use of treated wastewater, and operators of ICPE facilities.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The objective is to establish an authorisation procedure to enable new uses of treated wastewater beyond those already covered by dedicated regulations (agricultural uses and irrigation of green spaces).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The use of treated wastewater may be authorised provided that the characteristics of this water and its intended uses are compatible with the requirements for protecting human health and the environment.<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>T<\/em>his decree sets out the framework for treated wastewater and specifies:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The characteristics of the water that may be used<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The permitted uses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project authorisation procedure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The monitoring and surveillance arrangements to be implemented to ensure that the use of this water is compatible with the requirements for protecting human health and the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phytocontrol holds the national approval from the Ministry of Health and Environment for carrying out sampling and analyses for the sanitary control of water.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will find details of our accreditations in our COFRAC technical appendix No. 1-6066.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
