{"id":544494,"date":"2026-08-27T01:25:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T23:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/publication-of-the-watch-list-of-substances-of-concern-in-drinking-water\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T01:25:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T23:25:08","slug":"publication-of-the-watch-list-of-substances-of-concern-in-drinking-water","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/publication-of-the-watch-list-of-substances-of-concern-in-drinking-water\/","title":{"rendered":"Publication of the watch list of substances of concern in drinking water"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 27 April 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32022D0679&amp;qid=1651585303491\">Implementing Decision (EU) 2022\/679<\/a> was published, establishing a watch list of substances and compounds of concern for water intended for human consumption pursuant to Directive (EU) 2020\/2184.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Directive (EU) 2020\/2184 provides for the establishment of a watch list covering substances or compounds that are a matter of health concern for citizens or aquatic environments. The watch list mentions an indicative value for each substance and, where relevant, a possible analytical method that does not entail excessive costs.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following two substances have been added to this watch list due to their endocrine-disrupting properties and the risk they pose to human health:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nonylphenol with an indicative value of 300 ng\/L<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>17-beta-estradiol with an indicative value of 1 ng\/L<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that Phytocontrol holds national approval from the Ministry of Health and the Environment to carry out sampling and analysis for the sanitary control of water.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will find the details of our accreditations in our COFRAC technical annex No. 1-6066.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
