{"id":544454,"date":"2026-08-27T01:24:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T23:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/publication-of-regulations-eu-2022-1321-and-2022-1324-amending-mrls\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T01:24:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T23:24:18","slug":"publication-of-regulations-eu-2022-1321-and-2022-1324-amending-mrls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/publication-of-regulations-eu-2022-1321-and-2022-1324-amending-mrls\/","title":{"rendered":"Publication of regulations (EU) 2022\/1321 and 2022\/1324 amending MRLs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two new regulations amending MRLs have just been published in the OJEU.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32022R1321&amp;qid=1659104603595\"><strong>Regulation (EU) 2022\/1321<\/strong><\/a> amending the MRLs of <strong>fluoride ion, oxyfluorfen, pyroxsulam, quinmerac and sulfuryl fluoride.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>fluoride ion<\/strong> have been raised for tree nuts (except coconuts, where they have been lowered), tea, sugar beets, milk and honey. They have been lowered for citrus fruits, pome fruits, stone fruits, berries and small fruits (except rose hips and elderberries), miscellaneous fruits, vegetables (except basil and edible flowers) and cocoa beans.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>oxyfluorfen<\/strong> are set at the limit of determination, except for oil olives (1 mg\/kg).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>pyroxsulam<\/strong> have been raised for herbs, teas, coffee, infusions, cocoa and carob, and honey.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>sulfuryl fluoride<\/strong> have been lowered for coconuts and cereals. They have been raised for herbs, teas, coffee beans, infusions, cocoa beans, spices, milk and honey.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The residue definition for <strong>quinmerac<\/strong> will change:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Former residue definition: Quinmerac<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New residue definition: Quinmerac (sum of quinmerac and its metabolites BH 518-2 and BH 518-4, expressed as quinmerac)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs have been raised for tree nuts, table olives, avocados, beetroots, oilseeds and honey. The MRLs have been lowered for spinach, chard\/beet leaves, herbs, sugar beets and milk.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Article 2 of this regulation specifies that the previous MRLs continue to apply to foodstuffs produced or imported into the Union before 21 February 2023.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation will apply from <strong>21\/02\/23<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32022R1324&amp;qid=1659104603595\"><strong>Regulation (EU) 2022\/1324<\/strong><\/a> amending the MRLs of <strong>benzovindiflupyr, boscalid, fenazaquin, fluazifop-P, flupyradifurone, fluxapyroxad, fosetyl-aluminium, isofetamid, metaflumizone, pyraclostrobin, spirotetramat, thiabendazole and tolclofos-methyl.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>benzovindiflupyr<\/strong> have been raised for garlic, onions, shallots and sugar cane.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>boscalid<\/strong> have been raised for cherries, mangoes and teas.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>fenazaquin<\/strong> have been raised for tree nuts (except almonds and coconuts) and milk.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>fluazifop-P<\/strong> have been raised for blackberries, blueberries, currants and rose hips.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>flupyradifurone<\/strong> have been raised for blackberries, avocados and hops.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>fluxapyroxad<\/strong> have been raised for citrus fruits and kumquats.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>fosetyl-Al<\/strong> have been raised for kiwis.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>isofetamid<\/strong> have been raised for blueberries, currants, rose hips and dried legumes.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>metaflumizone<\/strong> have been raised for oranges, lemons, limes, apples, kumquats, melons, soya beans, maize, coffee beans and milk.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>pyraclostrobin<\/strong> have been raised for beetroots, horseradish (including ginger roots), parsnips, large-rooted parsley, salsify, swedes, turnips and chicory roots.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>spirotetramat<\/strong> have been raised for sugar beets.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>thiabendazole<\/strong> have been raised for mangoes.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs for <strong>tolclofos-methyl<\/strong> have been raised for vine leaves, chervil and celery leaves.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These MRLs will apply from <strong>18\/08\/22<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find all the changes to these MRLs in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/food\/plant\/pesticides\/eu-pesticides-database\/mrls\/index.cfm?event=search.pr&amp;v=1&amp;langFromHeader=FR&amp;token=E4EC230F64AFDC65A630221D162EFCDEC6C3A9D1\">European pesticides database<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that your Phytocontrol laboratory offers pesticide residue analysis under COFRAC accreditation; you can consult our COFRAC technical annex No. 1-1904, available in your customer area or on the COFRAC website.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
