Phytocontrol is extending its veterinary drug residue offer with a broad screening, under accreditation, enabling the analysis of 130 substances in drinking water, raw water and atypical water.<\/b><\/p>\n\n

Veterinary drug residues in water refer to pharmaceutical substances that can contaminate aquatic systems, such as rivers, lakes and oceans. These residues mainly come from medicines consumed by humans and animals that are not fully metabolised and eliminated by the body. Their presence in water is a matter of environmental and public health concern.<\/p>\n\n

The concentrations of these pharmaceutical compounds vary depending on the type of molecule and the water category, ranging from nanograms to micrograms per litre in surface water, seawater, groundwater and water intended for human consumption.<\/p>\n\n

The Phytocontrol solution<\/h3>\n\n

Phytocontrol continues to develop its fast and reliable direct injection analysis method, enabling 130 drug residues to be screened for in water, with LOQs in line with those required under the notice of 19 October 2019 for approved laboratories.<\/p>\n\n

Recently, the R&D team developed 7 new molecules: Oxazepam, Dihydrocodeine, Diazepam, Morphine, Lorazepam, Midazolam and Codeine anhydrate.<\/p>\n\n

The latest-generation technology used for this analysis achieves regulatory limits of quantification without any upstream preparation step. This screening covers a large number of molecules and their metabolites, almost a third of which are COFRAC-accredited.<\/p>\n\n
