When pesticides are used in fields, some of these substances can end up in surface water and groundwater.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Analysing pesticides in water is essential to protect the environment, safeguard public health, comply with regulations and assess the effectiveness of agricultural practices.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managing pesticide risk in water<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Phytocontrol Waters division continues to innovate and invest in delivering ever more effective and relevant analysis, in line with regulations and the needs of water sector stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our laboratory offers 2 packages to support you with pesticide analysis in water:<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Essential Pack<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Essential Pack<\/strong> offers analysis of <strong>600 pesticide residues<\/strong> in clean, highly mineralised and carbonated waters, more than half of which are COFRAC accredited.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our laboratory relies on the latest, environmentally friendly technologies to guarantee reliability, quality and responsiveness for your analysis results, with turnaround times of less than 6 days.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phytocontrol holds approvals from the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Health for carrying out sampling and on-site analyses and\/or analyses of water sanitary control parameters.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/pack-france-01.jpg\" alt=\"pack-france-01\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advanced Pack<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Advanced Pack<\/strong> offers analysis of <strong>more than 800 pesticide residues<\/strong> in freshwater, more than half of which are COFRAC accredited.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This pack fully includes the active substances and analysis methods of the Essential pack. It also adds numerous molecules of interest and emerging compounds such as the metabolites <strong>chlorothalonil R471811, alachlor OXA, terbumeton-desethyl, chloridazon-desphenyl<\/strong>, and <strong>flufenacet ESA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/national-monitoring-campaign-for-emerging-compounds-in-drinking-water\/\">According to a study by ANSES&#8217; Nancy Hydrology Laboratory<\/a>, chlorothalonil R471811, a relevant metabolite of chlorothalonil (banned for use in France since 2020 as a plant protection product), was the compound most frequently quantified (in more than one in two samples), with the highest frequency of exceeding 0.1 \u03bcg\/L: more than one in three samples.
