It is an essential link in the food chain, as the health and performance of animals depend directly on the quality of their feed.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The raw materials used (cereals, oilseeds, meals, by-products, additives, etc.) must therefore meet strict safety and traceability requirements to guarantee not only animal welfare but also the food safety of products intended for human consumption.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managing health risks and current regulations<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many substances can be present in animal feed: <b>pesticide residues<\/b> from raw material treatments, <b>heavy metals<\/b>, <b>dioxins<\/b>, <b>nitrites<\/b>, <b>hydrocyanic acid<\/b> and <b>aflatoxin B1<\/b>.
