{"id":544058,"date":"2026-08-26T23:51:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T21:51:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/publication-of-the-new-v5-water-health-monitoring-analysis-standard\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T23:51:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T21:51:23","slug":"publication-of-the-new-v5-water-health-monitoring-analysis-standard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/publication-of-the-new-v5-water-health-monitoring-analysis-standard\/","title":{"rendered":"Publication of the new V5 water health monitoring analysis standard"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ANSES has just published the new ANSES\/LHN\/REF-CSE-Version 5 standard.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This standard aims to clarify the application procedures of the amended order of 19 October 2017 on the methods used for water health monitoring, and to provide technical clarifications for implementing sampling and analyses.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This revision introduced the following changes:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enumeration of SRBA spores: <\/strong>Reference to AFNOR public note T90D\/N1243, which specifies the tolerance regarding incubation at 36\u00b12\u00b0C for this parameter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enumeration of viable microorganisms: <\/strong>Reference to AFNOR public note T90D\/N1365, which specifies the timeframe for beginning analysis of public distribution water samples (including for health monitoring analyses) under standard NF EN ISO 6222:1999.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Incubation at 44\u00b0C under standards NF EN ISO 9308-1 (2000), NF EN ISO 9308-3, NF EN ISO 7899-1 and NF EN ISO 7899-2: <\/strong>Reference to AFNOR public note T90D\/N907, which allows a precision of \u00b11\u00b0C for incubations carried out at 44\u00b0C.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Expression of results for coliform bacteria including <em>E. coli<\/em> from incubation at 44\u00b0C, in the presence of interfering flora at 36\u00b0C: <\/strong>Addition of an explanatory table to clarify the different scenarios.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enumeration and identification of cyanobacteria for bathing water monitoring: <\/strong>added the option of using concentration according to the filtration\/elution method described in standard XP T90-330.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sampling: <\/strong>Addition of reference ISO 5667-5.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Analytical performance: <\/strong>Addition of annexes concerning target values for regulated and non-regulated parameters with a health guideline value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PFAS analysis: <\/strong>Clarifications on the analysis of atypical matrices, expected performance, and quantification of linear and branched forms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Haloacetic acid analysis: <\/strong>Clarifications on sample neutralisation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pesticide analysis: <\/strong>Reference to standard NF T 90-027.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Analytical performance: <\/strong>Removal of examples for special cases where the limit of quantification matches the quality limit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Confirmation of abnormal results in natural mineral waters: <\/strong>Clarifications on cases requiring confirmation (exceeding regulatory values)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nonylphenols<\/strong>: Clarifications on the forms quantified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that Phytocontrol holds national approval from the Ministry of Health and the Environment for carrying out sampling and analyses for water health monitoring.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Details of our accreditations can be found in our COFRAC technical annex No. 1-6066.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
