Whey powders derived from <b>goat&#8217;s milk<\/b> or <b>sheep&#8217;s milk<\/b> are especially sought after for their specific qualities and higher cost.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main risk for the sector is twofold. First, there is <b>intentional adulteration<\/b>: the fraudulent addition of cow&#8217;s whey (more abundant and less costly) to products labelled as 100% goat or sheep. In addition, there is the risk of cross-contamination by traces of bovine proteins resulting from insufficient cleaning of production equipment (tanks).
