{"id":544036,"date":"2026-08-26T23:50:51","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T21:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/new-drinking-water-analysis-programmes\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T23:50:51","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T21:50:51","slug":"new-drinking-water-analysis-programmes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/new-drinking-water-analysis-programmes\/","title":{"rendered":"New drinking water analysis programmes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From <strong>1 January 2026<\/strong>, the terms of sanitary control of water are changing.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The publication of European Directive EU 2020\/2184 on the sanitary control of water intended for human consumption has introduced new regulatory requirements, including the inclusion of new analytical parameters in control programmes. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These changes have a direct impact on the analysis programmes and the parameters to be monitored. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These requirements have been transposed into French law through the publication of two orders<strong>:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00b7 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000046849569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Order of 30 December 2022 amending the order of 11 January 2007 on the <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000046849569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sampling and analysis programme for the sanitary control of water supplied by a distribution <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000046849569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">network.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Programmes <strong>D1, D2, P1 and P2<\/strong>, applicable to analyses carried out at the tap and at the outlet of treatment plants, have been permanently discontinued and replaced by: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8211; programme <strong>A<\/strong>, which includes the parameters previously covered by programmes <strong>D1 and P1<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; programme <strong>A+B<\/strong>, which incorporates the parameters from programmes <strong>D2 and P2<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Programmes <strong>RS and RP<\/strong>, applicable to raw water (surface and groundwater), keep their names, but their content is changing. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These new programmes incorporate additional parameters required by Directive EU 2020\/2184. <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00b7 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000046849569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Order of 30 December 2022 amending the order of 11 January 2007 on the <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000046849569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sampling and analysis programme for sanitary control of water used in a food <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000046849569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">business not supplied by a distribution network<\/a>  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>R<\/strong> and <strong>R+C<\/strong> programmes keep their name, the R programme remains unchanged but the R+C programme now includes new parameters. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation requires the inclusion of the following substances: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00b7 PFAS <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00b7 Bisphenol A <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00b7 Bromides <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00b7 Chlorates <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00b7 Haloacetic acids (HAA) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00b7 Uranium <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conversely, several parameters are removed from the regulatory programmes for greater relevance: Surfactants (methylene blue), Kjeldahl nitrogen, BOD5, COD, TSS, Phenol index, Total phosphorus, Silica, Zinc. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To meet these new requirements, <strong>Phytocontrol offers analysis of the new regulatory packs<\/strong>, applicable from 1 January 2026. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that Phytocontrol holds the national approval from the Ministry of Health and the Environment for carrying out sampling and analysis for sanitary water control.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will find details of our accreditations in our COFRAC technical annex No. 1-6066. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
