{"id":544024,"date":"2026-08-26T23:50:34","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T21:50:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/uncategorized\/mrl-changes-regulation-2026-215\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T23:50:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T21:50:34","slug":"mrl-changes-regulation-2026-215","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/mrl-changes-regulation-2026-215\/","title":{"rendered":"MRL changes: regulation 2026\/215"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A new regulation amending regulation EC 396\/2005 has just been published. <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32026R0215&amp;qid=1769792135792\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Regulation EU 2026\/215<\/a> amends the MRLs of dimoxystrobin, ethephon and propamocarb in certain products. <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dimoxystrobin: <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs on sunflower seeds, rapeseed, mustard seeds, rye and wheat are lowered to <strong>0.01 mg\/kg.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ethephon: <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRL on barley has been increased, from 1 to 1.5 mg\/kg. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRLs have been lowered on citrus fruit, tree nuts (except hazelnuts and common walnuts), pome fruit (except pears), stone fruit (except cherries and plums), berries and small fruit (except grapes), miscellaneous fruit (except figs, table olives and persimmons\/kaki), root and tuber vegetables, bulb vegetables, fruiting vegetables (except tomatoes), brassica vegetables, leaf vegetables, herbs and edible flowers, legume vegetables, stem vegetables, fungi, algae, dried legumes, oilseeds (except cotton seeds), oilfruits (except olives for oil production), cereals (except barley), teas, coffee, herbal infusions, cocoa and carobs, hops, spices, sugar plants and milk. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The residue definition has been amended <strong>only for cereals<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Old residue definition for cereals<\/strong> <\/td><td><strong>New residue definition for cereals<\/strong> <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Ethephon <\/td><td>Sum of ethephon, free and conjugated, expressed as ethephon <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Propamocarb: <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRL on lettuces is lowered, from 40 mg\/kg to <strong>30 mg\/kg.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation will apply from <strong>19\/08\/2026<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Article 2 of this regulation states that the old MRLs will continue to apply to products placed on the EU market before 19\/08\/26, <strong>except<\/strong> for ethephon in apples and blueberries and for propamocarb in lettuces. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your Phytocontrol laboratory offers pesticide analysis under COFRAC accreditation.
