The data recorded covers an 8-month period (from 01\/05\/2023 to 31\/12\/2023) due to the single sanitary police reform at the start of 2023. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The data recorded is as follows: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National alerts following an RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) message, when the hazard of a product placed on the market is detected outside France; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National alerts, where the hazard of a product placed on the market is detected in France (mandatory recording); <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Local alerts, when the non-conformity and the placing on the market occur in the same department (mandatory recording); <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Non-alerts relating to hazards detected in the environment or products of an establishment, without dangerous products having been placed on the market (mandatory recording when the event is reported by a professional); <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Non-alerts relating to products placed on the market that do not comply with health regulations but are not recognised as hazardous (recording left to the discretion of the services); <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Food investigations following human cases, except for suspected collective foodborne illness outbreaks (TIAC) managed locally (mandatory recording); <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Other events (recording left to the discretion of the services). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3,354 events were recorded between May and December 2023, an average of 420 per month, broken down as follows: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>41 RASFF (10%),  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>127 national product alerts (30%),  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>71 local product alerts (17%),  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>144 non-alerts (34%),  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>27 human case investigations <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>11 other cases. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Slightly over 2% of events relate to animal feed (FEED), and nearly 98% to the food sector (FOOD), of which 60% are foodstuffs of animal origin, 13% foodstuffs of plant origin, and 24% other foodstuffs (compound foods, foods intended for specialised groups, water, beverages, food supplements, additives, etc.). <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 5 most frequently recorded hazard categories are Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, Escherichia coli EHEC (STEC), pesticide\/biocide residues and various bacteria. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 5 most frequently recorded product categories are raw milk cheeses, the \u201cunclassified\u201d category, poultry meat, offal and preparations, ready meals or composite products, and fruit, vegetables and mushrooms. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Annexe 2 indicates the hazard profiles by product category: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dairy products: Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli EHEC (STEC) and Cronobacter. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Butcher&#8217;s meat and offal: veterinary drug residues, Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rabbit, game and poultry meat and products: Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Eggs and egg products: Salmonella and metallic contaminants. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Live shellfish: norovirus, various bacteria and ASP\/DSP toxins. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Whole or filleted fish: histamine, metallic contaminants and Salmonella. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cereals and bakery products: datura, pesticide residues and mycotoxins. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Legumes, oilseeds and nuts: pesticide residues, foreign bodies and mycotoxins. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fruit, vegetables and mushrooms: pesticide residues, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella and metallic contaminants. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oils and condiments: pesticide residues, other chemical contaminants, mycotoxins and neoformed substances. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cocoa, coffee, tea and herbal infusions: pesticide residues and mycotoxins. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dietary and infant foods: Salmonella, Cronobacter and Listeria monocytogenes. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Food supplements: novel foods, unauthorised additives and GMOs, and other chemical contaminants. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages: novel foods, unauthorised additives and GMOs, nitrites and sulphites, and other authorised additives. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">80% of national events followed a self-monitoring result, 7% followed official controls (national monitoring and control plans, border surveillance, and other control situations), 7% followed human cases, and 6% followed consumer complaints. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your Phytocontrol laboratory offers these analyses under COFRAC accreditation.
