{"id":519808,"date":"2025-02-12T17:08:38","date_gmt":"2025-02-12T16:08:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=519808"},"modified":"2026-08-27T23:56:29","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T21:56:29","slug":"modifications-of-mrls-reg-2025-146-2025-158-and-2025-195","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/modifications-of-mrls-reg-2025-146-2025-158-and-2025-195\/","title":{"rendered":"MRL changes &#8211; Reg 2025\/146, 2025\/158 and 2025\/195"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three new regulations amending Regulation (EC) 396\/2005 on pesticide residue MRLs have just been published in the OJEU.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32025R0146&amp;qid=1738774078998\"><strong>Regulation (EU) 2025\/146<\/strong><\/a> amends the MRLs for zoxamide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MRLs for garlic, onions and shallots increase from 0.02 mg\/kg to <strong>0.7 mg\/kg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRL for tomatoes increases from 0.5 mg\/kg to <strong>2 mg\/kg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRL for aubergines increases from 0.02 mg\/kg to <strong>0.5 mg\/kg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRL for honey increases from 0.05 mg\/kg to <strong>0.2 mg\/kg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For citrus fruit, tree nuts, pome fruit, stone fruit, berries and small fruit (except grapes), various fruit, root and tuber vegetables (except potatoes), spring onions\/green onions and shallots, peppers, okra, sweetcorn, brassica vegetables, leafy vegetables, herbs and edible flowers, legume vegetables, stem vegetables, mushrooms, dried legumes, oilseeds and oleaginous fruit, cereals, teas, coffee, herbal infusions, cocoa and carob and sugar plants, the MRL has been set at <strong>0.01 mg\/kg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation applies from <strong>19\/08\/2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Article 2 of this regulation states that the previous MRLs will continue to apply to products placed on the EU market before 19\/08\/25.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32025R0158&amp;qid=1738774078998\"><strong>Regulation (EU) 2025\/158<\/strong><\/a> amends the MRLs for acetamiprid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MRLs have been lowered for apples, pears, quinces, medlars, apricots, cherries, peaches, grapes, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, gooseberries, elderberries, table olives, bananas, tomatoes, sweet peppers, cucumbers, courgettes, melons, pumpkins, watermelons, broccoli, cauliflowers, head cabbages, lamb&#8217;s lettuce, lettuces, escaroles\/broad-leaved endives, rocket, brown mustard, spinach, chards\/beet leaves and asparagus.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation applies from <strong>19\/08\/2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32025R0195&amp;qid=1738774078998\"><strong>Regulation (EU) 2025\/195<\/strong><\/a> amends the MRLs for fenbuconazole and penconazole.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MRLs for <strong>fenbuconazole<\/strong> have been lowered for grapefruit, oranges, apricots, peaches, plums, grapes, cranberries, bananas, sweet peppers, cucurbits with edible and inedible peel, peanuts, sunflower seeds, rapeseed, barley, rye, wheat and milk.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They increase from 0.05 mg\/kg to 30 mg\/kg for teas.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MRLs for <strong>penconazole<\/strong> have been lowered for apricots, peaches and grapes.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They have been increased for pome fruit, plums, blackberries and raspberries.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation applies from <strong>24\/08\/2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Article 2 of this regulation states that the previous MRLs will continue to apply to products placed on the EU market before 24\/08\/25.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your Phytocontrol laboratory offers pesticide residue analysis under COFRAC accreditation.
