{"id":28942,"date":"2023-01-23T10:58:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-23T09:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=28942"},"modified":"2026-09-19T22:28:28","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T20:28:28","slug":"new-fcd-microbiological-criteria-for-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/new-fcd-microbiological-criteria-for-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"New FCD microbiological criteria for 2023!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FCD, F\u00e9d\u00e9ration du Commerce et de la Distribution, has published its new specification of <strong><u><a href=\"\/app\/uploads\/2023\/01\/FCD_Criteres-microbiologiques_2023_produits_LS_MP_14102022_VDEF.pdf\">microbiological criteria applicable to private labels, first-price brands and raw materials in their initial industrial packaging.<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This 2023 version includes the following new features:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Addition of the category in Chapter 2. GROCERY, category &#8220;10. Condiment sauces&#8221; with criteria set on Yeasts and moulds, Aerobic mesophilic bacteria, Enterobacteriaceae, <em>Escherichia coli<\/em>, Coagulase-positive staphylococci and <em>Salmonella<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Addition of PROCESSED PLANT PRODUCTS to Chapter 4. DAIRY AND ULTRA-FRESH PRODUCTS with the following categories:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">16. UHT plant-based drinks e.g. almond-based drink<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">17. UHT plant-based culinary preparations<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">18. UHT plant-based desserts e.g. soy juice-based dessert<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">19. Chilled plant-based desserts (hot filling pasteurisation at 70\u00b0C and cold filling) e.g. vegan chocolate mousse, coconut milk rice pudding, soy-based plant dessert<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">20. Frozen plant-based desserts (generally pasteurisation with storage at -18\u00b0C)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">21. Chilled fermented plant-based desserts (e.g. &#8220;yoghurt&#8221;) \/ generally pasteurisation + fermentation, and chilled fermented plant-based desserts (e.g. &#8220;yoghurt&#8221;) with post-pasteurisation incorporation (e.g. fruit preparation)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Addition in Chapter 7. PASTRY, category &#8220;3. Raw dough (pie dough, raw croissants)&#8221;, of the following note for Bacillus cereus: &#8220;1000 for gluten-free dough.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your Phytocontrol laboratory offers microbiological parameter analysis under COFRAC accreditation.
