{"id":24149,"date":"2021-10-18T15:55:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-18T13:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=24149"},"modified":"2026-08-28T00:23:45","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T22:23:45","slug":"lmr-changes-new-regulations-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/lmr-changes-new-regulations-published\/","title":{"rendered":"MRL amendments: 4 new regulations published"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four new texts amending the MRLs set out in Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 have just been published in the OJEU:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32021R1795&amp;qid=1634303047385\">Regulation (EU) No 2021\/1795<\/a> corrects the MRLs for <strong>terbuthylazine<\/strong> on sweetcorn, maize and sorghum.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MRLs on sweetcorn, maize and sorghum are set at <strong>0.02 mg\/kg<\/strong> rather than 0.01 mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation is applicable from <strong>06\/11\/21.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32021R1804&amp;qid=1634303554758\">Regulation (EU) No 2021\/1804<\/a> amends the MRLs for <strong>bentazone<\/strong> on peas with pods.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MRL increases from 0.3 mg\/kg to <strong>0.8 mg\/kg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation is applicable from <strong>02\/11\/21<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32021R1807&amp;qid=1634303691163\">Regulation (EU) No 2021\/1807<\/a> amends the MRLs applicable to residues of acibenzolar-S-methyl, azoxystrobin, clopyralid, cyflufenamid, fludioxonil, fluopyram, fosetyl, metazachlor, oxathiapiprolin, tebufenozide and thiabendazole.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Acibenzolar-S-methyl: increased MRLs for hazelnuts, beans with pods and peas with pods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Azoxystrobin: increased MRLs for sugar beet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clopyralid: increased MRLs for oats and wheat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cyflufenamid: increased MRLs for hops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fludioxonil: increased MRLs for blueberries, cranberries and gooseberries, currants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluopyram: increased MRLs for soybeans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fosetyl-Al: increased MRLs for almonds, chestnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, walnuts, wine grapes, blueberries and currants, table olives, avocados, pomegranates, potatoes, garlic and shallots, cabbages (head development), leafy cabbages, spinach, herbs, oil olives and wheat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Metazachlor: increased MRLs for horseradish, swedes and turnips.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oxathiapiprolin: increased MRLs for citrus fruit, blackberries and raspberries, bulb vegetables, solanaceae, cucurbits, cabbages (head development), head cabbages, Chinese cabbages, lettuces and salad plants, spinach and similar leaves, basil, peas (with pods), asparagus, leeks, ginseng and hops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tebufenozide: increased MRLs for apricots and peaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thiabendazole: increased MRLs for mangoes, sweet potatoes and endives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation is applicable from <strong>03\/11\/21<\/strong>, except for fluopyram in soybeans, where the MRL applies from 06\/11\/21.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32021R1810&amp;qid=1634303728022\">Regulation (EU) No 2021\/1810<\/a> amends the MRLs applicable to cyprodinil in blueberries, cranberries, currants and gooseberries.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MRLs increase from 3 mg\/kg to <strong>8 mg\/kg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulation is applicable from <strong>04\/11\/21<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find all amendments to these MRLs in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/food\/plant\/pesticides\/eu-pesticides-database\/mrls\/index.cfm?event=search.pr&amp;v=1&amp;langFromHeader=FR&amp;token=E4EC230F64AFDC65A630221D162EFCDEC6C3A9D1\">EU pesticides database<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your Phytocontrol laboratory offers pesticide residue analysis under COFRAC accreditation; you can consult our COFRAC technical annex No. 1-1904 available in your customer area or on the COFRAC website.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
