The Institut national de l’origine et de la qualit\u00e9 (INAO) is the public body responsible, on behalf of the State, for supervising the control system for all official quality and origin signs.<\/p>\n

Common control provisions (DCC) define the control arrangements applicable to official signs by control bodies and defence and management organisations. These provisions are supplemented, for each specification, by control provisions specific to that specification.<\/p>\n

The control plan for a specification of a product under a quality and origin identification sign therefore consists of:<\/p>\n

– Common control provisions established by the INAO, which may be supplemented by control provisions common to certain sectors;
\n– Specific control provisions established by the control body.<\/p>\n

Through a management decision, the INAO has published online common control provisions relating to the analytical strategy to be implemented for the control of organic production operators.<\/a><\/p>\n

These provisions are addressed to certification bodies approved by the INAO and apply from 01\/01\/20<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As part of the control of organic production operators, each certification body (CB) must apply an analytical strategy aimed at determining whether products or production techniques not authorised under organic farming rules are used by operators, or aimed at detecting any possible contamination by products not authorised in organic farming.<\/p>\n

The analyses (detection of components, measurement of the level of ingredients or of certain characteristic parameters of the product, etc.) must be carried out by laboratories, chosen by the control body, from a list of structures approved by the INAO.<\/p>\n

Phytocontrol is included on the list of analytical laboratories approved by the INAO and is able to offer you analyses under COFRAC accreditation as part of organic production controls.<\/p>\n
