{"id":10589,"date":"2019-10-03T10:44:58","date_gmt":"2019-10-03T08:44:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=10589"},"modified":"2026-09-19T22:03:36","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T20:03:36","slug":"publication-eu-regulation-2019-1559-changes-in-mrls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/publication-eu-regulation-2019-1559-changes-in-mrls\/","title":{"rendered":"Publication of Regulation (EU) 2019\/1559 \u2013 MRL amendments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:32019R1559&amp;qid=1568907394165&amp;from=FR\">Regulation (EU) 2019\/1559<\/a> amending Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 was published in the OJEU on 17\/09\/19.<\/p>\n<p>This regulation amends the MRLs of the following residues: cyflufenamid, fenbuconazole, fluquinconazole and tembotrione.<\/p>\n<p>The MRLs of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Cyflufenamide.pdf\"><strong>cyflufenamid<\/strong> <\/a>have been lowered for tree nuts, citrus fruit, certain berries and other fruits, root vegetables, tuber vegetables, gherkins, maize, brassicas, pulses, stem vegetables, mushrooms, dried pulses, oilseeds and oleaginous fruits, millet, rice, rye, sorghum and sugar plants.<\/p>\n<p>They have been increased for pome fruit, plums, grapes, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, cucurbits with inedible peel, artichokes and buckwheat.<\/p>\n<p>The MRLs of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Fenbuconazole.pdf\"><strong>fenbuconazole<\/strong> <\/a>have been lowered for grapefruit, oranges, tree nuts, apricots, strawberries, bramble fruits, blueberries, certain berries and small fruits, fruits with edible and inedible peel (except bananas), root vegetables, tuber vegetables, bulb vegetables, solanaceae (except peppers), brassicas, leafy vegetables and herbs, pulses, stem vegetables, mushrooms, dried pulses, certain oilseeds, oleaginous fruits, certain cereals (buckwheat, maize, oats, rice, sorghum) and sugar plants.<\/p>\n<p>They have been increased for lemons, mandarins, peaches, plums, grapes and cucurbits with edible and inedible peel.<\/p>\n<p>In an opinion, EFSA concluded that there is currently no authorised use nor import tolerance for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Fluquinconazole.pdf\"><strong>fluquinconazole<\/strong><\/a> in the EU. No plant or animal product should therefore show fluquinconazole residues. The MRLs have consequently been set at the specific limit of determination.<\/p>\n<p>The residue definition of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Tembotrione.pdf\"><strong>tembotrione<\/strong> <\/a>has been changed to tembotrione (sum of the parent compound tembotrione (AE 0172747) and its metabolite M5 (4,6-dihydroxy-tembotrione), expressed as tembotrione).
