Veterinary drugs are used to prevent, treat or control animal diseases and ensure the health of livestock. However, their use can lead to the presence of residues in foodstuffs of animal origin. Among these substances, antibiotics are subject to particular monitoring because of their potential impact on consumer health. Monitoring veterinary drug residues is therefore a major food safety issue and concerns all products of animal origin, whether raw or processed.<\/p>\n\n\n
