What is the definition of vitamins?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vitamins are substances essential to mammalian life and play an important role in the assimilation and use of nutrients. Our body cannot produce them, which means vitamins must be provided through diet. Vitamin deficiencies pose a health risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vitamins are found in many foods: oils, vegetables, fruit, dairy products, meat products, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Human food:<\/h3>\n

Regulation No 1169\/2011 on nutritional labelling defines the requirements regarding the parameters that must appear in the nutritional declaration. Labelling vitamins is not mandatory but they may be labelled in addition to other information.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Animal feed:<\/h3>\n
