These marine biotoxins are toxic substances accumulated by bivalve molluscs, particularly when they feed on plankton containing toxins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Depending on the amount and type of toxins present, the following symptoms may occur in humans: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, paralysis (lips, face, arms and\/or legs), headache and\/or dizziness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
